Layla Al Abdulkarim (1978) is a junior researcher and Ph.D candidate in the Energy & Industry group at the faculty of Technology, Policy and Management (TPM) of the University of Technology in Delft (TU Delft).

She got her M.Sc. in Computer Science at the King Saud University, Riyadh- Saudi Arabia. The title of her masters thesis was titled: Automatic Generation of Computer Security Protocols Implementation, in the area of computer networks security and generative programming.
